I’ve sold out over 120 shows in the last two years and next Friday I’m doing the one show I’m actually terrified of.
I’m going to be talking for a full hour about the night I almost didn’t make it. The night I called the Samaritans.
I’m going on stage at Hot Water Comedy Club for the Liverpool Comedy Festival next Friday and wanted to do something different, something for world suicide prevention day the following week.
My whole coping mechanism is comedy. I turn the darkest stuff that’s happened to me into jokes. It’s how I survive. So I’m putting myself in the most uncomfortable, vulnerable position possible… on purpose. To show you that you can take the thing that nearly broke you and reshape it into strength.
Every single penny from the tickets is going straight to my charity, Men in Their Emotions.
